Print Hardware Technician

About the role

Weare seeking a wide format Print Hardware Technician to provide technical support, servicing and installation to customers on HP Latex Wide-format Printers, Summa cutters and laminators.  This is a unique opportunity for the right person to join our reputable, friendly and well-established family-owned company.

As a Print Hardware Technician, you will be an integral part of our small but highly experienced and reputable team providing technical support, installation and servicing to customers across Auckland, and the upper North Island.

You will be responsible for:

• Install brand new wide-format HP printers and other hardware (such as laminators/cutters)
• Provide technical support and on-site servicing such as break/fix
• Repair trade-in machines to get ready for resale 
• Conduct technical training when required
• Provide demonstrations of hardware supporting the sales team
• Nurture the relationships between ourselves and our customers

Skills and experience

The role requires the successful candidate to have:

• Experience in a similar role as a technician in Print Hardware, or in print production or technical support.
• Must be knowledgeable with wide format printers in your recent work history.
• Exposure to servicing wide-format printer hardware is preferred but will also consider someone who works with hardware, such as a print operator who could transition to technical services
• The ability to be self-managing and self-motivated
• HP wide format print hardware experience a huge bonus, but not critical (we are willing to provide training and certification to the right person)
• Colour management experience an advantage
