Arlette Farland and Adele Peterson, two of Noel’s daughters, have been leading Computaleta Group for a number of years as directors and shareholders.

They have a combined industry experience of more than 40 years and will continue to drive forward in their capacity as sales and marketing director, and finance and product manager respectively. They will form the management team with a third daughter, Janene Forde, who joined the company in September.  Janene spent many years in a senior business management role with Compass Group Australia, and she brings this valuable experience with her.

Noel says, “I felt it was time to step back.  My daughters have been actively leading the business for the last 10 years, so I don’t expect any change for our customers, suppliers or staff, apart from seeing a continued improvement on my legacy of providing a service that is personal, responsive and highly knowledgeable.”

“Very few companies last 35 years.  When the same company remains in family ownership, it’s even more of an exception. I am extremely proud that my daughters have embraced the legacy I’ve built, and turned it into our key advantage.”

Noel’s contribution to the business over the last 35 years has been exceptional.  He is recognised as one of New Zealand’s leading signage innovators who supplied the industry with ground-breaking computerised  technology for the first time, a heritage of innovation that lives on at CL Group today.

Arlette says, “We are extremely fortunate that Noel will continue to work in the business in an advisory role for the foreseeable future.  As we are a true family-owned company, he has seen the need for generational change to ensure the family firm continues to flourish in the years to come.”
