A hand roller is a tool that saves time and effort while bringing superior results to vinyl installation by heat sealing the wrap. Although ideally suited for creating a smoother finish on rivets, hand rollers are the ideal tool for wraps over uneven surfaces such as breeze blocks or over corrugations on vehicles. Hand rollers can be used for finishing any vinyl installation as the smooth surfaces of the tool will not scratch or rip the vinyl.

How to use
To use a hand roller, first the vinyl must be put in place with a small channel over the rivets of about an inch for the air to escape. With the vinyl in place, the area is heated and the hand roller used to push over the rivets allowing the air to escape. This technique is far faster and leaves a smoother finish than conventional techniques where air rivet brushes and air release tools are used.
Sometimes, the roller leaves a mottled texture around the rivets. A quick post-heat will bring the original gloss level back to your graphic. If the application environment has the temperature outside the suggested range of 20 degrees to 25 degrees Celsius, try a few runs of rivets using different amounts of heat and roller speeds to get the perfect combination. This can literally change from day to day in some climates.
